One of the most complex parts of maintaining a business blog is figuring out what exactly to write about and what kind of information resonates with your readers. (So do we. I spent more time today figuring out what to write than actually writing.) explain the process. Find current and potential customers and answer all their questions.
1. Use the Content Tool.
Tools like BuzzSumo are designed to help you find content ideas. In addition to using this site to find content to share on social media, you can also use it to come up with ideas for topics for your blog.
Simply enter a keyword or niche in the text box and see which articles appear. You can also enter your blog URL to see your top-performing blog posts and spin them off. Always be careful not to completely duplicate your blog ideas. I want original content only for you.
2. Submit the customer survey.
What does your audience want? They probably want more information about your industry, product/service, company, and how to get the most out of your product/service.
Therefore, it is very important to understand what your audience wants to see from you.
But you're not a mind reader, are you? (If so, we don't want to offend. We're assuming most of your blog readers aren't.) So you need to ask your customers directly.
Sending customer surveys is a great way to get direct feedback on what your audience wants from you. Keep your survey short and easy to understand, asking only 5-10 questions that tell you exactly what you want to know. Multiple-choice surveys are easier for customers (and provide incentives to encourage people to take the time to complete the survey). Ask them what aspects of your business/products/services they have the most questions about, what their favorite products/services are, and what kind of information they want from you.
3. Find popular blogs in your industry.
Google your industry blogs to find the best/most popular blogs. Bookmark these for frequent reference. I don't want to copy the intellectual property of other blogs, but I recommend finding a blog that does it right and using its models and blog post topics as inspiration.
Check out some of her blog posts to see if anything is happening on her blog post topic. Come up with some original themes and other twists on some of these previously written articles
4. Conduct keyword research.
There are several ways to do this. First, you can use a dedicated keyword research tool like KeywordTool.io. Enter a topic to view results. The results consist of a list of all the different Google searches people do on that topic.
Another option is to start typing keywords into Google and see what is automatically entered in the search bar. Doing keyword research to find blog post topics is a great idea as you can find actual Google search results. These are topics that people regularly search for answers to, and you can now create solutions for these.
5. Scan online forums.
Check your industry's online forums and communities to see what questions users are asking and turn them into blog post topics.
Additionally, if you've written multiple articles, you may already have written a blog post that answers someone's question. This is a great way to get more readers because you can answer questions and share blog posts.
